How To Get Measurements for the
Waterproof Cast Cover
|
1) MEASURE LENGTH
ARM: Measure from the tip of the
middle finger to the top end of the cast or prosthetic. If the cast
goes above the elbow, follow the bend of the arm.
LEG: Measure from the back of the heel
(from the floor) to the top end of the cast or prosthetic.
Choose a Dry Pro waterproof cast cover that
is at least 2 inches LONGER than your measurement.
Don't worry if the Dry Pro waterproof cast
cover is too long. The excess material of the cast sock
will flatten down when the air is pumped out. |

2) MEASURE OPENING
ARM: Measure the circumference of
the arm just above the cast or bandage
(If the end of the cast is very
close to the elbow, measure mid bicep.)
LEG: Measure the circumference of the
leg just above the cast or bandage
(If the end of the cast is very close
to the knee, measure mid thigh.)
The circumference measurment is very important for proper sizing, excess length will be removed by the vaccum. Choose a cast protector with enough length and the circumference within the range of your measurement.
Measure around the skin and not the cast!
